ABSTRACT
A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar a translucidez das cerâmicas restauradoras sobre pilares de alumina e zircônia. Foram confeccionados corpos de prova com formato dental e foi criada uma escala visual para a avaliação das tomadas fotográficas e para a realização do estudo. Essa escala marcou Alta translucidez, Média translucidez e Baixa translucidez. Os corpos de prova foram submetidos à luz de alta intensidade e foram obtidas imagens, as quais foram analisadas por contagem de quadrantes, sendo os mesmos calculados qualitativa e quantitativamente. O sistema que apresentou maior translucidez, e ausência total de bloqueio de luz foi o alumina. O sistema zircônia foi o que apresentou resultados mais altos e equilibrados de média translucidez.
This study aimed to evaluate the translucency of the restorative ceramic on alumina and zirconia abutments. Samples were prepared shaped in tooth, creating a visual scale for evaluation of photographic shots and for the study. This scale marked translucency High, Medium and Low translucency. The specimens were subjected to high-intensity light and images were obtained, which were analyzed by counting the quadrants, and they are calculated qualitatively and quantitatively. The system showed more translucent, and total absence of light was the alumina. The zirconia system showed the highest results and balanced medium translucency.
